As a small business, we generally spend a lot of our time working in our business, when we should be working on it. We’re very aware of this fact and it is what we tell all of our customers to do; take time out to think about how you can grow your business instead of only focusing on the work that you do day-in, day-out.

We’re a very, very close-knit team here at The Peloton, so we decided that we would all take a couple of days out of the office and have a really good, structured focus on how we can make our business more sustainable, more revolutionary in the world of accounting and better value for our customers.

Our first topic of conversation was to focus on our proposition. What exactly is it that we are offering our customers? How can we effectively communicate this in a succinct and clear way? This was an enjoyable part of the couple of days away and a very good exercise in getting buy-in from all members of the team; especially our newest accountant, Ben Ackner.

In order to keep the mind ticking over, we interrupted our working days with walks across the wild Bodmin Moor and morning romps around the local area.

We’re all safely back in the office now, all refreshed and ready to help you. Here are a few pictures taken during the retreat.
