I started my accounting career working at a couple of rural accounting firms and then moved to KPMG to train as a Chartered Accountant. I predominantly worked In the tax department at KPMG and continued my studies passing my Chartered Tax Adviser exams.

Whilst I enjoy tax calculations (who doesn’t?!) I’ve got lots of experience with sole trader accounts, partnerships, and larger companies too.

I’ve been lucky over the years and have spent a fair amount of time away from the workplace traveling and having fun with my family. Now I’m back in the office environment, I’m really glad that I’ve found such a great place to work. It’s innovative and my colleagues are great.

When I’m not in the office, I’ll either be out on the water, cycling on the very hilly Cornish roads, playing my viola or renovating our recently acquired ancient cottage. I’m always up for learning something new or accepting ridiculous challenges.
